Uganda Martyrs University is a faith-based private university established in 1993 and owned by the Episcopal Conference of Catholic Bishops of Uganda. UMU started with two faculties, 84 students and 7 staff members.UMU now has a total enrolment of 3,454 students following full-time, weekend and distance-learning Programmes. UMU’s main Campus is located in Nkozi Sub County in Mpigi District, in the Republic of Uganda and on the equator, 82 Kms west of Kampala along the Kampala – Masaka highway overlooking Lake Victoria.
