Location
Kazinga Channel is located in Kasese District 420 kilometres from Kampala City. Kazinga channel is a natural stream of water 32 kilometers long, connecting Lake Edward with Lake George in western Uganda. The channel has attracted plenty of wildlife which makes it one of the most interesting places to visit during any safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Most animals and birds come to Kazinga Channel from the surrounding savannah, to drink and to search for some fresh grass. The channel’s permanent residents include hippos, fish, corrodible and monitor lizards among others.
