Agriculture is one of the mainstays of the Ugandan economy. The government of Uganda is financing the agricultural sector with the aim of improving agricultural production through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries together with development partners. The government is working on roads especially in rural areas to ease transportation of agricultural produce to markets.
