Option1
From Kampala to Masaka one can use a personal car or public transport to Kalangala Town through Masaka Town. People , vehicles and goods cross from Bukakata on the mainland to Liku the westernmost village on Buggala Island by ferry. Pick-ups ferry people and goods from Liku to Kalangala Town.
Option 2
One can also travel to the islands by MV Kalangala a large ship with carrying capacity of 108 passengers, 8 cars and 100 ton cargo. The ferry operates between the Entebbe / Nakiwogo landing site and the Kalangala / Lutoboka landing site.
Option 3
There also motorized canoes that leave from the Kasenyi fish terminal landing site in Entebbe to Kalangala/Mwena with local people and cargo.
